DEIZ - Cookie Policy

1. Who manages this website?

SIA GOOD MOOD, trading as DEIZ, registration no. 40203096177, Glūdas iela 15 - 31, Rīga, LV-1063, Latvia, operates https://www.deiz.eu. Email: sales@gmwood.lv. This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy.

The store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify's cookie policy, last updated 9 October 2026, is at https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. It is used below only to describe a cookie that was actually set on www.deiz.eu. It is not a list of every cookie that policy mentions.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small files stored in a browser or device. A website may also use local storage, pixels and similar identifiers. On this store the cookies named below were set by responses from www.deiz.eu. They are first-party cookies. Shopify is the provider that places them for the hosted store.

3. Categories

Strictly necessary. Cookies Shopify's merchant-storefront table places in "Cookies Necessary for the Functioning of the Store", where that cookie was observed here. They can operate without a marketing or analytics choice where the law allows. A cookie is not treated as necessary only because Shopify set it.

Analytics. Cookies Shopify places in "Reporting and Analytics" for merchant storefronts. These are not necessary cookies. Shopify's own help says the session analytics cookie used for Shopify Analytics is a reporting cookie, not a necessary one. The same distinction is applied here to the analytics cookie that was observed.

Marketing. Cookies Shopify places in "Marketing" for merchant storefronts. These are not necessary cookies. No separate advertising cookie from Google, Meta or another advertising network was observed.

Preferences. A cookie that only remembers a non-essential display choice. No such cookie was observed. The country cookie below is classified with the necessary store cookies because that is where Shopify's table places it, not because every localisation cookie is necessary in every legal system.

4. Cookies observed on 17 October 2026

The test was a first request to https://www.deiz.eu/ with no existing cookies, then the product page, the contact page, the cart page, and a request for /checkout that was not followed into payment. That observation was made before the banner in section 6 was displayed. No choice was made. Nothing was paid.

Name Provider Purpose Category Party Expiry observed Set before a consent choice Source
localization Shopify Shopify's table: localises the cart to the country. The value set was LV. Necessary, in Shopify's table First-party, www.deiz.eu 17 October 2027, one year. The table also says 1 year. Yes Set-Cookie on the first response
cart_currency Shopify Shopify's table: after a completed checkout, starts an empty cart in the same currency. It was also set on the first visit, before any checkout. The value was EUR. Necessary, in Shopify's table First-party On the first response, 31 October 2026. On the checkout redirect, 16 January 2027. Yes Set-Cookie
_shopify_essential Shopify Shopify's table: session, checkout and anti-tampering data. Necessary, in Shopify's table First-party, HttpOnly, Secure Max-Age 31536000, one year. The table also says 1 year. Yes Set-Cookie on the first response
_shopify_analytics Shopify Shopify's table: analytics data for buyer surfaces such as the storefront or checkout. Analytics. Not classified here as necessary. First-party, HttpOnly, Secure Max-Age 31536000, one year. The table also says 1 year. Yes. It was set on the first response, before any banner. Set-Cookie and Shopify's table
_shopify_marketing Shopify Shopify's table: marketing data for buyer surfaces such as the storefront or checkout. Marketing. Not classified here as necessary. First-party, HttpOnly, Secure Max-Age 31536000, one year. The table also says 1 year. Yes. It was set on the first response, before any banner. Set-Cookie and Shopify's table
cart Shopify Shopify's table: information related to the cart. Necessary, in Shopify's table First-party On the checkout redirect, 16 January 2027. Shopify's table says 2 weeks. Those two periods do not match, so the table period is not used as the observed period. Not on the first homepage response. Yes, on the redirect from /checkout, still before any banner. Set-Cookie

The contents of these cookies are not reproduced here.

5. What was checked and not found

These names were not in the Set-Cookie headers of this test, so they are not listed as cookies of this store: _shopify_s, _shopify_y, _tracking_consent, shopify_pay, _shopify_test, and any hCaptcha cookie.

Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are not installed. No request to those services was part of this cookie test, and an earlier read of the live page on the same date found neither gtag nor a Meta pixel. Shopify Analytics is a different thing. It is the analytics cookie above, together with Shopify's own storefront measurement. It is operating. It is not Google Analytics.

The contact form displays the hCaptcha notice and links to https://hcaptcha.com/privacy and https://hcaptcha.com/terms. The contact-page response itself did not set an hCaptcha cookie. A cookie that the hCaptcha script might set later was not observed.

The footer form DEIZ UPDATES posts an email address to Shopify. Viewing the page did not add a cookie beyond the table above. The form was not submitted.

Cookies that appear only after the checkout page itself has loaded, rather than on the redirect to it, were not collected. That part is not yet verified.

6. Consent

DEIZ uses Shopify's cookie banner for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where a choice is required, a visitor can accept or decline optional cookies and manage preferences. The first screen has Accept, Decline and Manage preferences. Decline is on that first screen. Cookies needed to run the store can still be used without that choice, where the law allows. A visitor can later review or change the choice through the cookie preferences controls on the website. The banner uses a light appearance and sits at the bottom centre. It is also set to appear in checkout. On a screen about 390 pixels wide, Accept, Decline and Manage preferences were readable and did not cover one another. A visit from Latvia on 17 October 2026 checked this control. Visits from the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and a first checkout view by someone who had not yet chosen, were not part of that check. Browser settings can block cookies, but they do not replace the banner where the law requires a choice on the site.

Shopify states that, once its banner or a correctly connected consent tool is in use, a visitor who does not allow non-essential cookies is marked so that device data from the site is not used by Shopify Network Intelligence for non-essential purposes, including advertising. That statement is Shopify's. A check from Latvia on 17 October 2026, after the banner was turned on, found that Decline sets analytics and marketing consent to no in Shopify's Customer Privacy API, and that a new server response with no cookies does not set _shopify_analytics or _shopify_marketing. After Accept, the same API recorded analytics and marketing consent as yes. Decline all then returned both to no, and the later choice was kept. That check did not cover the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or a first checkout visit by a visitor who had not yet chosen.

7. What is still not confirmed

The banner is in use, as section 6 describes. The Latvia check does not confirm the following:

  • The same Decline and Accept behaviour in the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
  • The banner on a first checkout visit by a visitor who has not yet chosen. Checkout display is turned on. That first visit was not tested.
  • A new visitor who chooses Accept receives only the cookie categories that were accepted. The Latvia check confirmed the consent API after Accept, not a new full list of cookies.
  • hCaptcha, if its script loads, is either necessary for the form or waits for the relevant choice.
  • No new cookie appears that is missing from the table above.

8. Other technologies

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. It is described in the Privacy Policy. It is not itself a cookie name in the table above. The marketing and analytics cookies in the table were observed on 17 October 2026, before the banner in section 6 was displayed.

No installed withdrawal application, CRM, Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel is in use. None of those is a current cookie provider for this store.

For cookie questions and GDPR rights, contact sales@gmwood.lv. The Privacy Policy explains access, deletion and objection, including Shopify's own privacy controls at https://privacy.shopify.com where Shopify processes data for its Enhanced Services.
